The Range Extender Was listed for $16,000 when ordering and intended to be set up at a Tesla service center; however, shipments were not planned to start until sometime around mid-2025. Currently, Tesla has taken it off the Cybertruck section of their site with no provided reasoning.

Some viewed the Range Extender as a support mechanism to assist the Cybertruck in reaching the 500-mile range it was anticipated to achieve when first unveiled as a concept back in 2019. Among the present options of Cybertrucks, the base model priced at $82,235 with all-wheel drive offers the highest mileage at 325 miles.

Cybertruck sales fell significantly In early 2025, it remains uncertain whether or when the roster will be enlarged. This year, the IRS revised its list of electric vehicles qualified for the $7,500 federal tax credit upon purchase.
