ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - On Monday, the Missouri Department of Transportation plans to shut down Route 141 where it intersects with Interstate 44.

The roadway will close after noon due to Meramec River Flooding.

Even with southbound Route 141 closing beneath the interstate, drivers can still depart onto both directions of I-44.

Motorists can drive along northbound Route 141 up to Meramec Station Road. Commercial vehicles must utilize Bowles Avenue for their route to access eastbound and westbound lanes of I-44.

Before the weekday morning traffic surge on Tuesday, the exit ramp heading eastbound on Interstate 44 towards southbound Route 141 will be shut down. However, drivers can still use the off-ramp for westbound I-44 leading to both the north outer road and northbound Route 141 without interruption.

The lanes will open again once the floodwaters have subsided.
