Motorists using I-664 in Suffolk should anticipate potential delays on Tuesday morning, VDOT reports.
All northbound lanes of the Monitor Merrimac Memorial Bridge Tunnel were shut down because of an accident just prior to 6:50 a.m.
By 7:10 a.m., the accident site had been cleared, and traffic lanes were back open.
There is a traffic jam extending for one mile.
