MCALLEN, Texas ( ValleyCentral — A bridge overpass in McAllen will be completely shut down for maintenance purposes.
The overpass bridge at the intersection of 2nd Street and South Col. Rowe Boulevard will be temporarily shut down beginning Wednesday evening.
Crews with the Texas Department of Transportation will begin maintenance work at 9 p.m. Wednesday and continue until 6 a.m. Thursday.
The northbound and southbound overpass traffic lanes will remain closed until the maintenance work has been completed.
Motorists are advised to use detours and prepare accordingly.
